Writing Skill

Writing skill improves learners' creativity and vocabulary skill because they look for the appropriate words while writing, so it is a significant output skill. Thanks to good writing skills, you can inspire others with your stories, messages, emails, and so on. Optimistic Teacher teaches you through different strategies and activities such as creating stories, dictogloss, stating your opinion, etc. As a result, listening, speaking, reading, writing, critical thinking, and vocabulary skills will boost as integrated into a single activity.

Complete the story Activity

In this activity, learners are supposed to create their own ending to the story starting from the green and underlined line in the story after reading the story of Lucky Alice. Therefore, students boost their reading skills by reading and writing skills by creating their ending to the story while learning the weather and emotions.

Dictogloss Activity

The Optimistic Teacher reads a passage aloud to students. He instructs students to listen only for the main idea. Then, he instructs students to listen carefully for the details while he is reading it a second time. After finishing reading, he instructs students to write what they remember down as close as the original passage. Students are supposed to write as close as possible to the original text to improve their listening and writing skills.

The Optimistic Teacher instructs learners to prepare infographics regarding topics that they have learned so that they can improve their writing skills. He provides an example to clarify what they need to do.

Word Map Activity

The Optimistic Teacher instructs learners to prepare word maps regarding topics that they have learned so that they can improve their writing skills. He provides an example to clarify what they need to do. For example, the teacher writes emotions in the middle, so learners say all the vocabulary related to emotions such as happy, sad, and scared to improve their vocabulary, brainstorming, and writing skills.

Challenge Activity

The Optimistic Teacher challenges learners to come up with words according to rules that are provided for the activity. For example, the teacher asks learners to find as many words as possible that start with letter C to improve their vocabulary, brainstorming, and writing skills.
